Phase 2 is for a business that must show how it meets the welding fume exposure standard and the limits for the metals in the fume, and how noise, vibration and arc radiation are assessed and controlled.
It supplies the technical basis that the Phase 3 SWMS and the Phase 4 controls put into practice, and it can be used with a WHS system you already have. It carries both the workplace exposure standards that apply until 30 November 2026 and the workplace exposure limits that apply from 1 December 2026.
